Project overview

An experimental digital experience exploring the intersection of hospitality, entertainment and interactive design.

Volt Social Club is a fictional nightlife brand created by ZYKLO as an independent study. It is not a real venue and was not commissioned by a client. Its name, identity, copy and imagery were all created for this concept.

Design direction

  • Rock-inspired energy

A premium nightlife tone built on dark backgrounds, where light and type carry the atmosphere.

  • Expressive typography

Condensed, oversized headlines that behave like stage lighting — loud where it matters, quiet elsewhere.

  • Cinematic pacing

Bold transitions and full-bleed imagery that move the visitor through the experience like a set list.

  • Interactive entertainment

Sections designed to be played with rather than read, so the site feels like part of the night out.

Interactive features

  • Power-on entrance

Visitors switch the club on. The wordmark strikes and flickers like a tube sign while a short amp thump plays — synthesised in the browser, with a silent option.

  • A week that changes the room

Seven nights in a keyboard-accessible tab list. Choosing one re-tints the whole section, swaps the photograph and resets the copy in a single move.

  • A fader you can push

One master fader drives the level meter, the glow and the exposure of the amp photograph. Push it to 11.

  • An honest booking form

The reservation form validates like the real thing, then says plainly that nothing was booked — because the venue does not exist.

The result

A complete, working concept site that shows how a hospitality brand can feel like part of the night before anyone walks through the door. Imagery was generated for this concept; no venue, schedule or address is real.
